The film, started production on July 16, 2010 and later finished filming and went to post-production on Sept. 14, 2010. After a year and two weeks of the film being in post production, the film is finally completed (editing/visual) and now can be sent to theatrical cinemas world-wide — by Lionsgate choice.

HollywoodLife.com spoke with an internal source at Lionsgate who told us Miley Cyrus’ upcoming comedy, ‘LOL,’ with Demi Moore is slated to be released next spring!

Demi Moore recently dished about her comedy with Miley Cyrus, LOL, and how it she didn’t know when it was going to be released. “I loved working with (Cyrus) and the director. They just put it on pause because they had another film they were focusing on. It’s a tough thing when you have a movie you’re looking forward to coming out,” she told MTV. However, HollywoodLife.com has exclusive details about when the much-anticipated film is hitting theaters!

“Right now we’re shooting for a spring 2012 release date,” an insider at Lionsgate, the production company creating LOL, told us Oct. 20.

In the film, Miley, 18, plays Lola, who is described as a “teenage Aphrodite, minus the confidence.” She loses her virginity, talks about sex incessantly, smokes marijuana, kisses one of her two best female friends on the lips, gets wasted and accidentally shows her mom, Ann, (Demi) her Brazilian wax.

The American version of the anticipated LOL is rumored to be a huge departure for both Ashley Greene and Miley Cyrus. The two young stars have previously played rather wholesome characters; however co-star Demi Moore insists that fans will enjoy seeing another side from the two actresses.

“(Miley) is great, she did great,” Moore told MTV News. ”I really loved the movie; I loved working with her and the director. But when MTV News recently caught up with Demi Moore, who plays Cyrus’ mom in the film, we got some scoop about her experience with the singer/actress, as well as some dish on what we can expect from Greene’s performance.

With regard to Greene’s performance, Moore teased that moviegoers can expect to see a very different side of the “Breaking Dawn” star.

“I love it when you say that,” Baker said. “Is she sassy too?”

“Sassy and saucy,” Moore promised.
